I'm Marius.
The Guide.

After History studies I started taking guiding courses and here I am after five years of experience in leading tours and exploring tourism – eager to show best places in Vilnius and Lithuania, tell outstanding stories about it and explain why we are what we are.

On my free time I like to recreate historical buildings from XVI-XVII c. via 3D modeling, bike few dozen miles and swing tennis court.

My Tours

Vilnius Old Town and Užupis

Vilnius Old Town was shaped by influence from East and West of Europe. It’s unique structure and architecture symbols makes oldtown cozy and worth digging deep inside.

Trakai Castle

Trakai is famous for its magnificent castle on the island. How it was built there and how we fought massive battles against Teutonic knights? What special traditions has this small town? Everything you’ll find out in the tour.

Occupations and Freedom Fights Museum (KGB Museum)

Second Soviet occupation started with rough repressions against local citizens. That led to many men joining resistance in partisan war. Now we are calling them Forest Brothers. During the Tour we will dig deeper into heroic acts and tragic fates.

Soviet Vilnius

Soviet era marked deep scarves into Lithuanians lifes and Vilnius urbanistic appearance. Day-by-day life had unwritten rules, political life had strict written rules that looks pretty funny from todays point of view.

Paneriai Memorial Tour

Paneriai had to become one of the cozy residential areas next to Vilnius, but during World War II it became the most tragic site of all Lithuania.
Mass destruction took place, many lives were taken away. Tour covers history of the holocaust in Lithuania.

Contrasts of Vilnius

Small old wooden houses right next to tall skyscrapers! And you thought you can see contrasts like this only in Mumbai or Shanghai. Well, Vilnius has it’s own Shanghai.
